Choosing a Spotting Scope

If you love birding and you want to see more birds then your best option is to own a quality spotting scope.  Many scopes are specifically configured for birders and use additional lenses to produce upright images.  It’s always a good idea to look for scopes that are of sturdy construction for field use, and are well sealed to protect from both dust and the weather.

A spotting scope, or birding scope if you may, will become your best friend in the field so choose yours carefully.  Weight is always a factor to be considered since you will probably be in the field for long periods of time.

Magnification is another factor that deserves careful consideration.  Most birding scopes have a range between 15x to 75x and are best suited to be used on a table mount or other stable mount.

The articles below will provide further detail to help you make informed decisions.  Learn about spotting scopes and enjoy your bird watching to the fullest!
